HPEP election procedures: Meeting will begin with announcements and a statement from the outgoing board, then control of the floor will be turned over to an independent election judge. All seven Board positions are to be filled during this election cycle. Nominations will be taken from the floor for Board candidates. Candidates must be present at the meeting and, as a matter of general policy, should have been active HPEP members for at least one year. After the close of the nomination process a short recess will be granted to the membership. The election judge will reconvene the meeting and the election will begin. Proxy or absentee balloting is not allowed. Each member may cast one vote for each of the seven positions to be filled. Ballots will be tallied during a second recess. The meeting will again be reconvened by the election judge and the results will be announced. The new board will be confirmed and seated by the membership.
